Hi Miller, so nice to see you posting. I drive about 40 minutes to this bead store. They have it all organized by color. The beads are all hanging in hanks or else in little bins so you can touch them. Of course the trouble is getting out with your wallet intact. I avoid the real crystals (too expensive) but can't resist all the faceted glass beads.

I just strung all the new beads on stretch wire and made close-fitting braclets, so with the 5 strands together it's like a cuff bracelet.

Funny you mention charms. I just recently got out my old charm bracelet from childhood-- it's sterling with big chunky charms. I was thinking of beefing it up with some approximately charm-sized things that have been sitting unworn in my jewelry box-- a gold locket, a silver conch shell pendant, maybe even some rings. I wanted to find big chunky glass beads and add some color to it as well. I guess it's symbolic of getting back in touch with my young self-- integrating the adult life with it. One of the charms even has the date 1976 on it so it really has a feeling of history to me.
