I am glad that you are so "together" with your emotions.
Abuse sucks. I firmly believe that I will not abuse child. I can see myself getting angry and have been able to control myself. I also don't have the need for control that my parents did.
All good signs. I figure since I am honest to myself about what I saw and what was wrong with them, I have a good shot. I am also honest enough with myself to acknowledge the damage they did to me.
