Well then. I guess you need to SAY what you mean. Say what you WANT from this fellow, and stand by your guns. I have never been hypermanic, though I have had those high times (rarely). I do know about compulsive behavior, and DO know that I generally regret it. My thoughts: wait 2 hours before making any REAL decision about what you are going to do. That way, you can "cool your jets" so to speak, and not make an intractable error. Perhaps you need to tell me more. I will give you my email if you would prefer less public explanation.
