Traded anxiety for depression.

Posted by Tabitha on March 4, 2003, at 2:25:07

I've been on AD + neurontin combo for years, and I quit the neurontin. I'm now on just 1/2 dose celexa. I feel different, but not exactly worse, and not exactly better. A bit less anxious, a bit more depressed. I expected the opposite.

Depression feels like a vacation compared to anxiety.

My sleep isn't as deep but it's easier to get up in the AM. On weekends I make up the hours, just like I used to do before meds.

I'm losing weight without trying. The neurontin gave me that fake appetite that's more compulsion to eat than hunger.

Therapy seems less valuable, since it was mostly a big band-aid for my anxiety.

I don't know if this is better or not. I kind of like it though.
