Darn it!!
I dutifully go to jury duty every time I've gotten called and in all the times I've gone they've called maybe two panels. There will be eight cases or so scheduled and all get settled/plea bargained before trial. So they thank us and tell us that we were valuable because the defendent wouldn't have settled if there hadn't been enough folks to pick a jury. Couldn't they just have had us on standby?
But my husband got to serve twice!!
