FireLogic Inc. has released the Depression version of its HealthEngage software. The software is intended for sufferers of depression who are looking for a computer-based tool to better manage their condition.

Building on the framework FireLogic has produced for other HealthEngage products for the management of diet and fitness, diabetes, asthma and HIV/AIDS, HealthEngage Depression works with Palm OS-compatible PDAs as well as PocketPCs. Native for Mac OS X, the software is optimized for 10.2.3. FireLogic said it's working on a version that will support Rendezvous and iSync to work with Bluetooth-enabled devices, too.

HealthEngage Depression enables you to collect, graph and produce reports you can review with your doctor. It includes a nutrition database of over 6,700 foods, exercise information with more than 700 physical activities listed, and can track sleep quality and quantity.

You can also use HealthEngage Depression to set reminders for appointments and prescription refills, and use it to track laboratory test results and more.

New versions to cover issues like Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Fybromyalgia, Cancer, Multiple Sclerosis and more are expected to be released in the next few weeks, according to FireLogic. HealthEngage Depression costs US$59.99 for the single user desktop version, and $10 more for the desktop version paired with Palm or PocketPC software.
