I have four tattoos... each one has been well thought out and I spent alot of time each time planning the design and finding just the right one - never leave it till you get there and choose one from their books... theres loadsof internet sites out there with tat designs on!

I have always gone to very reputable artists (well, only 2 different ones!) which are on the list of reccomended places from our local hospital.

I also insist on seeing them open a new pack of needles (I've never been asked to pay extra) and check their premises look good.

Also, I make sure they use the most up to date inks (check these in tattoo mags), and have had them all done twice... go back after 6 - 8 weeks and have the tattoo gone over again to keep the colours strong and bold.

I have two on my right shoulder balde that barely hurt, (chinese characters) one on my lefy ankle (smallish black gecko)that was a bit uncomfortable, and a large on on my left lower back (large red gecko!) that hurt like hell and I never thought |I would get through!!!

I love my tats!!!

ps - one thing I ahve done.. I got some paper that you can put through your printer and is a tempory tattoo.. I always try them out this way to be 100% sure on the positioning etc!
