It's not really clear as to his looks though.
He's sort of a gruff dude, sitting at his
kitchen table. He goes out around town and
is really wary of people, a tad volatile.
He has a nervous energy. Gee, do you think
he hears us talking about him? ;-)
Naw, I don't think he knows or he would have jumped in by now.
I picture him as tall and thin with grey/silver short hair, kind
of fair skin...a look in his eyes that is somehow vulnerable, cranky,
guarded and wise.

Could you re-interpret him as male? Did he
realize you had been relating to him as a woman?
Yeah, I told him I thought he was a woman at first. We had
this strange sort of "emotionally promiscuious" email relationship
for 2 years. Towards the end he called me a couple of times, but
we really couldn't relate to each other very well outside of the
written word. One time he called and tried to initiate something like
phone sex, but THAT totally fell flat! We sent each other pictures, and a couple of gifts
(like books of poetry and stuff)...that was the first and last time
I ever did anything like that. It was weird. Pure fantasy. I got
pretty caught up in it at the time though.
