It's Wellbutrin I've heard about for that. Effexor often has LOTS of side effects, even at low dosage. Wellbutrin can have side effects too. Either way, many side effects go away after a couple of weeks. Some others stay, and you have to do with (e.g.: constipation, night sweats, bruxism,...). It's no fun, but it's normal. If you know about it, you won't worry as much as someone who's clueless as to what's happening to them. It's probably worth going through to stop smoking anyway.
If you do take Wellbutrin (or Zyban - same thing), DO NOT take kava kava (an herb supplement), as some unexplained deaths seem to be linked to the concurrent use of both.
