RFI, request for information
Willow will be an expert, and probably have specifics, but I am good for the following:
Studies of twins, icelandic decendants (small gene pool, (not olympic sized) show genetic connection with schizophrenia. Bipolar, mood disorder in general can be genetically based as well. Is is one of the questions asked when being evaluated, no? As in, is your father, mother, brother, uncle, aunt, grandfather, grandmother, is there any family history...
