It helps, John, that I've never made enough to ever owe the government. That, & the fact I have a friend who's learned about taxes, the government, & in/outs of it all like the back of her hand. Something I do is to keep a small box or container that's handy by the box where I keep my keys, interact card, driver's license, etc (I never use a purse). Then, when I come home & drop them off, I can just stuff any papers or receipts into through an opening into the separate box. That way I can sort through them when I can. Even if I don't get to it for a couple of months, it's still all there. But then again, I rarely have much to deal with or keep track due to the simple life-style I choose.

Out of curiousity, is the IRS really the ogre I've heard it to be? Or only in special cases? And do they have the rights that I've heard of?
