It sound like it might be an anxiety problem: unnecessary and irrational worrying. Have you talked to your doc about this? If you have depression, you're more likely to develop an anxiety problem. I have GAD, so I know what it's like to constantly imagine the worst case scenario. If it turns out to be anxiety, you could find some relief (therapy, meds, meditation, yoga, etc.)
