Terrible news, Jonathan, it sucks, I know all about it.

The best thing you can do is to be by your Pa as often as possible, and to make sure he knows you are there.

Also, your Ma needs all the support she can get, so be there for her as well.

If you have family outside of your location, call them ... let them know.

Gather your immediate family members together to discuss the "future."

Talk to the doctors and make sure they're doing things right. If you're not sure about medication or procedures, ASK QUESTIONS. If you're not happy with the answers, then seek other opinions/advice. Take a look at his medicine sheet for any obvious errors you may see. Nothing is "cut and dry" in medicine.

But also take care of yourself: sleep, food, relaxation, etc.

Don't worry about answering posts. There's no need to explain why you can't.

I wish you and your Pa the best and just be there for him.
