Trileptal - help!

///Okay - son had seizure - doc put him on Dilantin - that didn't work out well (too many side effects) so doc prescribed Trileptal....worked up to 1200 mgs. within a month's time while weaning off Dilantin. Seems okay, but lately has been pretty emotional (especially for him)....he also mentioned that right at first he noticed blood in stool. Anyone? This is scaring me.
