i asked my pdoc what he knew about ADD and he asked why and i said 'i was reading some articles the other night' and he said 'thats why your on welbutrin'. i think i found a good fit. he also asked if i had online access because theres a lot of good articles out there and he was going to find one that he had read the other day to give to me.
at any rate, i'm just amused at the entire concept of a child labeled 'highly gifted' being an undiagnosed ADD. then i told my mom that she now has two children who have learning disabilities (my brother is dyslexic). she asked what i meant and when i told her she said straight to my face 'i dont believe you'. she thinks that because i'm not bouncing off the walls obnoxiously that i cant be ADD. then she went on to say that it was a pass off label, like it didnt really exist. i just shook my head and went to go do homework. some people just dont ever understand, do they?
