I've heard that if you turn off the electricity at the source in your house when you sleep, you'll sleep better and feel better when you wake up—more rested and relaxed and in a better mood. That the electrical currents (if I'm explaining this correctly) around you, even if appliances are not in use, and even if they are unplugged, place a constant burden on your body, brain, and immune system. That the body has to always be fighting this onslaught and it can interfere with the normal functioning of the brain. Wouldn't this have mental health implications?
I'm curious about this but don't want to try turning off my electricity because I live in an apartment building. I think the experiment would work better in a house. There are meters you can use to measure the amount of EMF in your bedroom, say, to see what the difference would be with the current turned on or off.
I'm sorry I can't explain this better—I don't have the slightest technical knowledge in this area and perhaps don't understand it correctly. I'm really more wondering aloud about what I heard than anything. Maybe someone else knows more about this?
