Dr. Bob is different. I'm grateful to him for supporting this site. I'm pleased that he's decided to take a break, he's earned it.
As for your being fed up with the holier than thou attitude and arrogance of doctors, me too! I've been working in the medical profession for many years and the egos can be maniacal. It sounds like you've had some bad experiences, I can relate. I was so insulted by a doctors remarks once, I went back to my office and cried for almost an hour. My supervisor held me while I cried, she encouraged me to put in a complaint against him. Surprisingly, he was reprimanded.
I don't think we can lump Dr. Bob in with the rest of the jerks out there.
