Hi fellow Geek!
It was terrified about going into hospital, an din the end only told close friends and family that I knew would understand. One thing that *really* helped me was treating like "a holiday for my head".. I didn't have to worry about any of the normal stresses of life while I was in there and it was a good break in that way.
