Adam, lots of us have been in that dark, awful, hopeless place and thought nothing could ever change that, but despite a lot of discouraging trials of med combos that didn't do the trick, I am here to say that persisting until finding the right one is well worth it.
But if you are so depressed that you don't even have the wherewithall to deal with anything, perhaps you could benefit from being in the hospital until you feel safer--especially because of the suicidal ideas.
