Will Eli Lilly Kill PROZAC Rather Than Letting it Go Generic?

Justice Scalia is an Oxymoron
In today's news. Eli Lilly has admitted that PROZAC, its cash cow for 15 years increases the risk of suicide in some people. Approximately 1 in 100 non suicidal people will develop severe side effects that may lead to suicide attempts. One study estimates 50,000 sucessful suicide attempts were probably attributable to Prozac. By a strange coincidence, Prozac is ready to go generic, and Eli Lilly has already manufactured its replacement, R-fluoxetine which Eli Lilly is marketing by stressing that it does not increase the risk of suicide.Any comments?
