I nearly lost my job while trying effexor a few months ago.
Although it did help with anxiety and severe mood swings, the Effexor left me feeling numb and with absolutely NO energy or motivation.
Had I not had responsibilities of work and family it might have been kinda fun to just lay around and watch tv and eat.
But I finally had to explain to my boss what was happening, so she wouldn't think I was just a big wastoid.
I finally switched back to Celexa (at a higher dosage), and I'm feeling a little more energetic (A little... that's all. I'm still waiting for the miracle energy pill to be discovered).
Will your side effects go away? Some people do very well on Effexor, but I have read a lot of negative comments similar to yours and mine regarding Effexor.
If you are new to Effexor, I think only time will tell.
