Hi Tom,
Dialectical Behavioral Therapy is kind of a Zen approach of accepting patients as they are. Since dissociation is a coping skill usually learned in childhood, the therapist teaches you different ways of coping. Marsha Linehan has done some wonderful studies is this area, so if you do a search I would suggest starting there. It is a widely accepted form of therapy, the problem is it's difficult to find a therapist that is skilled in it. I wish you the best- Judy
