No crashing felt. I'm one of those "love me love my dogs" types. I have Shadow, a black lab, rescued as an adult. And, Lamar, a tri-color, rough coat collie, also rescued as an adult (the Lassie type). So, I did not raise these two from the start. They are both 80 or so pounds, so when we play in the house things can get pretty hectic.

Lamar learned how to play about 2 years after I got him (I spent that time trying to teach him), and he had to be taught to climb stairs. Interesting.

The sibling rivalry started right after Lamar started wagging his tail when I would pet him. Shadow, who is alpha to Lamar, did not like that, and now won't play with him, and if he lays by her or tries to get her to play she will just sit there and turn her head and not look at him.

Unless they are having a barkfest, in which case they will both participate. Like when some innocent person walks down the street.

The one I did raise, Scruffles, who has my heart of hearts in her paws, is in Doggie Heaven, where I intend to go some day.

What dogs do you have?

Shar
