That's actually great advice. I'd been circling around it lately, but I do know the idea. My mother is like that, too. She'll get so involved in not getting things done that all her energy is directed at self-flagellation. I always tell her that she needs to take a fun day, but she says no, she has too many things to do, she's too far behind, etc. I am my mother's daughter...

I am going to take your advice in a way: I found a fabulous source of fake fur, some of which is bright neon colors. Think of leopard patterns in neon red, green, blue, orange, yellow -- all in one fabric! I've decided that I need a bright faux fur suit! So, I have an idea for the top to go with it, and I'm going to take play money from this last paycheck, buy the fur, buy the top material, and make that damn suit. Maybe I'll never have a place to wear it, since I'm really too old to be so silly anymore, but I'll still enjoy it!

Meantime, I'm going to work a bit this morning on my portfolio, then I'm going to make a big sign for over my desk, with all the great advice I give other people but never manage to use myself.

Thanks for reminding me.
