Maybe we just don't know what to say. Or maybe we just know that nothing we can say will lessen your hurt.
Love and hate aren't mutually exclusive it's possible for them to coexist in the same person for the same person. Same with love and hurt. I sometimes wonder if it is the very act of loving that makes the most unbearable hurts possible, and the unbearable hurts that make uss more careful of the hearts of others. I don't know. I'm just sorry you hurt the way you do and even sorrier that I don't know a single thing that'll make it hurt any less, apart from time and perspective.
Just remember his failings don't lessen you. And loving can never leseen you - not ever.
