Once bitten, twice shy.
It's a sad world when one becomes bitter and obsessed with the love gone wrong.
It's an empty baren wasteland that surrounds the small atom of my heartbeat.
The broken shattered former me cannot find all the tiny tiny pieces to glue back together and no matter how long it's been, no matter how many times I seem to have moments of forgetting, it still is there. Those broken shards are still out there somewhere over the wild blue yonder never to be retrieved.
And if you were closer I would just use to to try to mask the pain that keeps returning until I used you up.
Thank you for the offer of your arms, but I respectfully decline. I would only hurt them and the fragile heart they themselves support.

We live and die in a world of hurt. Some chose to overcome. I chose to wallow. I blame noone but myself.

Joan
