Dating someone with OCD

Posted by greatdane on February 5, 2006, at 14:00:58

Just looking for some advice. I have been with my girlfriend almost two years(May 06'). She is 28 and i'm 26. And she has OCD. We have alot of good times and probably more bad times. She has recently gone to a doctor about it. I had no idea what OCD was or how bad it affects things. I just thought she was a very emotional person.
My problem is that after almost two years she still doesn't know if she wants to settle down together. She says its the OCD. Like she's scared about the lifestyle change. She Doesn't want to rearrange her closet. She doesn't like sex. And i guess she doesn't want to go behind me all the time straightening everything just right.
Is it possible to have a normal relationship with someone with OCD? I just don't want to expect something that will never be.
Thanks for any advice.
