different people are good at different things. it is about finding what it is that *you* are good at. you might not have 'traditional intelligence' measured by whatever tests... but a lot of people don't - and that doesn't mean they can't go on to succeed at a bunch of stuff. and a lot of people do really well at them - but that doesn't mean that they will go on to succeed at a bunch of stuff, either.

i think it can be useful to get some kind of indication... i mean... i don't think that anybody likes to feel like they are banging their heads up against a wall persisting in something that they aren't particularly good at... that they don't particularly enjoy at any rate. i think it is better to try and search out what it is that you are good at and what it is that you enjoy.

it is a hard one... knowing when to persist... and knowing when to give up...

it really isn't the end of the world, rj.

they told me i don't have the math to do science... i, uh, failed the math test pretty badly. the math test that was about the level of your third year at high school. oh wells... time will tell... i f*ck*d up the ratio on my biology drawing because i thought it was like a constant equation and i had to find the decimal rather than simplifying the fraction :(

doh.

whatever... it's all good...

how's your computer stuff going?

when i was at tech i learned about teamwork... how some people had a knack for knowing where everyone was all intuitively on a sports field... i can't do that. and i even saw a couple special needs classes... and some of those kids were really chilled... and really happy... and i don't seem able to do that, either. i don't suppose it is possible for everyone to be good at everything. i think that is a big fat myth. i think it is good that people are different... good at differnet things... there is a bunch of awful history about our valuing some things more highly than others... i think we (as a sociaety) are coming to recognitise that as b*llsh*t, though...
