in fact... if you don't think of it as money (and i do understand) then perhaps that makes it the perfect opportunity for you to really set that money aside for you to do something *special* for yourself.
i mean, really, something really special, that you otherwise might not think is justified or something.

just thinking... some people when they quit smoking set aside the money they would have spent and make sure to do something conscious with it like that. i guess it is about... a reaffirmation of their being better off now. of their having made a decision and their getting some reward.
