Imipramine, Tryptophan, Sertraline combination.

Posted by Exisessentialist on April 20, 2012, at 16:12:25

Hello, all. I've been taking 200 mg of sertraline for approximately three weeks and 8 grams of tryptophan for that duration, as well. My psychiatrist recently recommended adding imipramine at 25 mg three times daily in an attempt to remit my treatment-resistant depression. Does anyone have any experience with this combination? I've recently read some interesting information on this and other boards about combining TCA's and SSRI's with some benefit but I'm curious if this combination is generally safe and advisable to take. Thank you.
