I may be misunderstanding his stance. For whatever reason there is no denying his reluctance. I asked him at the very end of session why, and perhaps in the press of time, we were unable to understand each other well. But it was my understanding that he didn't know how to help me, and if I wanted his help in it I would have to look into it.
On the positive side, I do think this is going to be a very very helpful thing for me to realize.
