No, and it would drive me nuts. I get distressed if he looks away, sometimes (although I haven't told him that because it doesn't bother me that much and I know it's irrational). He usually sits quietly, or sometimes he will ask me what I'm feeling or thinking, something helpful. I would imagine it's a nervous habit that she doesn't know she does. You should probably bring it up to her - tell her that you notice she fidgets when it's silent and that it distracts you. It's probably something she would work on stopping or curtailing if it bothers you.
