I may misunderstand you, but since the description is of subjectivity why should it not be subjective?

Perhaps you mean it is (like a lot else) in the eye of the beholder?

I take it for granted that we are fragmented.
Are we not collections of voices?
If we can get to know them and be on passable terms with (all of) them..... well, that's an achievement.
