While reading your post I was pondering what this could be ...... a symptom of depression or something else..... then I read what "backseatdriver" wrote:

I'd never thought of that! Something like going OFF meds could actually get ones eating habits back to a healthier state..... hmmmm that's interesting and I can see how that could be the case for some people.(not meaning it's your case just had never thought of that)

Well anyway, "no rose garden"-- I hope you find a comfortable balance. Maybe if you aren't eating much on some days, you could take a vitamin to give your body the nutrients it might miss out on.... just an idea...... I'm one that can go a whole day with just one bean burrito from Taco Bell..... so under eating hasn't ever concerned me... but I imagine if one isn't used to it, it can seem a bit worriesome.
