My previous T's both always greeted me in the waiting room, "Hi, EE."

I'm pretty sure there is research out there of the benefits of using a child's name when you speak to him/her. It builds self-esteem. Not sure if it also applies to adults, but I don't know why it wouldn't. SO, basically there is a therapeutic reason TO use a person's name.

I'd bring it up w/ your T again.
