Could you say something like "I got the email, I'll reply later when I have more time". That buys you time until you figure out what to say. Unless you feel it would be better to get it over and done with. Then you wouldn't get cornered on the phone anymore. And maybe it would feel better to choose one side or the other? ((((Dory))))
