Age and therapist

Posted by Phillipa on October 10, 2007, at 0:17:43

Anyone think that age makes a difference when connecting to a therapist as the ones my age I thought would relate with be better not so as they seem to be in competition for being strong. The one I'm going to see now is younger than my Daughter but her friend is a social worker and the most empathetic person felt like she was drawing me in and really cared and this therapist is her friend. I'd love to have this one but she doesn't see private patients. So anyone base their choices on age or sex. Thanks Phillipa ps by competition the older ones think you should know how to deal with your life at your age. Should they keep asking what's to be afraid of it makes no sense to me. Gee if I knew I wouldn't be asking you. Does this make sense?
