Sounds like progress to me. You didn't allow societal expectations to rule you. And if your husband doesn't mind, then it's a clearly positive division of duties.

My husband has been the party mom all along. He never gets credit for cupcake contributions, etc. They always list my name. :) But he enjoys social stuff while I find it excruciating. So it's obvious to us what to do in this situation.
