I wish I had something to add. I like my pdoc, he is sweet and kind. When I had a big issue with my therapist, he listened and then sent me right back to him. He did admit, "I have this strong pull to jump in there with you theraputically but you HAVE a therapist." I found that reassuring somehow.

I think the University idea is a good one. My pdoc practices in SF most of the time but he spends one day a week in an office near me. So maybe you'll find someone who splits time -- I hope!
