Hi Gee,
that sounds so hard-

moving your home and your [school] work

figuring out who your social network is

limited financial resources

effexor withdrawal/side-effects

...

sounds like you could use some counselling. I think that you can start at student counselling. They will see you, and even though they might not be able to deal with long-term Gee-projects, they may be able to support you through some of the immediate stressors.

It may take you a few weeks to get settled in, and find your rhythm again. Take it easy on yourself, and don't be too self-critical if you find that you no longer have things in common with people you regard as ''friends''. It's hard, but this will sort itself out. you'll learn soon who your buddies are, that you can hang out with and distract yourself with, and I bet that in a few weeks you'll have an idea about who is a good person/s to confide in.

Sorry it's so hard.

Do you have a pdoc? Maybe your pdoc (helping you switch AD's or get off effexor) can help support you through this time?

As far as long-term Gee-projects (Therapy, etc)... you can tackle that when you're settled in. Once you figure out your rhythm, you'll have a better idea what your budget is, and how you can negotiate a sliding-scale. Also, you'll have a better idea about whether you need to see T every 2 weeks, once a week, or more often. Last year, I was seeing a T every 1 or 2 weeks, and even though our appts were only 2x a month sometimes, it was still helpful.

crossing my fingers for you xoxo
