She HAS MY FILE, help!!!!

Posted by B2chica on February 2, 2006, at 8:58:42

i met with new T yesterday and sitting right on her desk was my big fat file!
i specifically told last t that i didn't want her to have access, he told me that he 'closed' my file and that it was sent to storage! i told him and her i wanted to start fresh.
did he lie? or did she request the file...can she just do that without my permission?!

i asked her in sarcastic voice...can i read it...right away she said no, i asked her why and she quickly said casually that she hasn't had a chance to read it first.

but my pdoc openly said my file is my file and i can see it anytime, that i have rights. if that's true for psychiatrists isn't that true for therapists? yes i know that the therapist can say that my reading the file could do more harm...but that's bullcr@p and besides i really don't want to read it i just don't want HER To! and i hate that she has the over me. it took me a year to open up completely to last T and here she gets all this privelidged information just like that? she hasn't earned that yet!!

and even this T commented that last T said i wanted to start fresh, well, what's the point of starting 'fresh' if she has my freaking file!!!!!!!!!!
it kept me up last night had horrible sleep!

isn't this against hippa or something? i never signed any consent so she could read it ...I DON"T WANT HER TO HAVE OR READ IT!!!! at least not until i feel comfortable.
i actually feel victimized, i know it's weird but i do!

please help me...don't i have rights!??
