My therapist used to have a plug in air freshener in his waiting room. I can't identify what the scent was, but it calmed me when I walked into the room. Then his officemates talked him into repainting the waiting room (used to be a soft peach color) light green/darkgrey-green. Not so optimistic feeling anymore, and the scent has gone. I miss it.
