No, no, no! You aren't wearing a sign, but my last Pdoc told me that we keep getting ourselves into situations (unconsciously) that play out the abuse until we are able to fully resolve the abuse. I believe him. There's a Freudian term for it, but I can't put my finger on it right now. So NO, it's not you; it's just another aspect of what you're going through. Once the initial abuse is resolved, you won't be drawn to these situations.
I have decided to believe what my Pdoc says. It fits my situation. Please don't beat yourself up over this. It's part of the process.
