That is good news!

I guess we’d better get cracking then. Have you had any thoughts about structure? What sort of material might we distribute in handouts? My first idea is that it might be good to have (at the very least) a handout of brief quotes from Babble users… but I may come up with more elaborate ideas after I’ve thought about it for a while. I’m sure other people have ideas… I’m very keen on handouts at conferences because I think it gives participants something to focus their initial responses on.

For the purpose of news reporting, members of the media who have been credentialed by the APA Press Room may audio/videotape and/or take notes during any or all of these presentations except when patient confidentiality might be compromised or a presenter specifically requests no audio/videotaping by the press be permitted.

Well, I won’t be there so maybe my opinion doesn’t matter. But I think if the press are going to be at the conference, then perhaps this session might be newsworthy (because it involves interaction between professionals and clients). I think it could work to our advantage if we clients want to use the session to get the attention of professionals. So I would say it might be a good idea so say no taping, but to allow note-taking, unless all the Babblers who will be present (a) don’t mind being taped; or (b) prefer not to allow note-taking.
