LOL..yeah, no kidding. It's almost hard to believe he said it, but I know what I heard. I may have a word or two out of place, but the jumping part and riding part...he said it.
I don't think..no, I KNOW he wasn't thinking. It just sort of popped out. And like I said, I heard it at the time, yet I didn't. I know that sounds odd, but my brain often works that way. And I KNOW we were talking about something so important to me, I just never took a breath to call him on it, then it slipped away until recently...
I probably would have cracked up laughing and said, "ExCUSE me?! I dare you to repeat that."
He would have either rephrased and acted like he never said the original thing, or *toned it down* a bit. If you could see him, I swear, you'd never imagine he could have blurted out that kind of thing.We are both ex-military, though, meaning we've both experienced many years of rather..uh...shall we say...*rough talking* workplaces and situations. Maybe that's a factor. It really was very funny. One day I'll mention it to him...
