I think Laurie gives great advice in her post. I like the idea of calling ahead to get a sense of whether she will be responsive. You could even fax your notes or list to her ahead of time.
I'm sorry she wasn't more prepared. I agree, since pdocs don't usually see folks as often as T's do, they need to review.
And what's with you having to "research" meds? Um, isn't that her job? It almost sounds like she expects you to just tell her what you need and then off with you.
