GG what degree do you have??

Posted by B2chica on July 2, 2005, at 16:37:09

was wondering. i know that you are in the field of psychology (therapist). but i can't remember if you are still in school or if you are practicing.

what type of degree do you have?? (MS, phd or other?)
just curious. i've really been thinking of a change in career and of course i'm interested in psychology with a specific population. i would love to continue research in that area but i know you need a phd to do that and i can't afford to go to school full time. i have to work full time mainly cuz of my great medical insurance.
i'm interested in the diagnostic and assessment work with adults, possibly in VA or rehab facility.
my T told me that's the area of neuropsychology. but i don't know if 1)if this is a phase cuz of what i'm going through or 2)if i could do it with a family? or 3)if i'm even smart enough.

i asked a single question of another doc program to my boss and a week later he accused me of being manic that week quote "you were flying so high last week asking about the doc program, you were almost out of control"
that's a different story (which both p@ssed me off and hurt a little- if others inquire their curious me since i'm obviously not smart enough i must be in a manic phase) of which i was NOT, my meds are working well.

anyway, sorry to get off track. if you don't mind, what kind of degree are you getting/have?
was it a struggle with all you are going through on a personal level?
i appreciate any advice you have to offer.
thanks
b2c.
