ooooooooh, congratulations, little mother!! Alexis Nicole is a beautiful name.
I, too, hope that daddy is at least financially responsible and that if you decide to "let him into his daughter's life" that you do so without letting him into your heart again. He has already shown great disregard for your well-being.
For Alexis' sake, I hope she gets what she needs from him- even if that is nothing!
My biological father left my mom before I was born. I never really even thought about him. My godmother kept tabs on him in case I ever wanted to meet him, but I have never felt the need to do so. You never know, Alexis may not need her daddy either.
Best wishes for you, and definitely follow that advice about sleeping when she does!
