I am not a morning person either. So I just keep an alarm and then stay in the bed and spend some time recollecting my thoughts and maybe say a little prayer and then kind of focus on what I want to do etc. That really helps. My mind was very restless, yesterday I was thinking it should be peaceful today and yesterday was very very peaceful day for me.

You can try it for a week and then see if you feel a difference.
