No, I wasn't implying that is was mis-used. Thanks for clarifying!

But I do think it's a definite way to let others know that what you are writing about is very important to you (as well as 'triggering' to others, potentially) as a way to garner extra interest from those who care about you & your life.

I also think that people use it 'just in case', even if they're message isn't all that triggering in their opinion, just to be sure that no one is hurt or scared by it. Sort of a social validation thing...it's the norm now. Not bad by any means...it's just interesting how it works here. :)
